Le Champlain
Spring in the City
Good walking shoes are essential to explore this area.  We especially enjoyed our tour of the Residence of the Governor General at the Citadel of Quebec.
Located within the fortress, overlooking the St. Lawrence River, it has been the second official home and workplace of Canada's governors general since 1872.  It came to mind that Charlie's grandfather,
General MacNider, most likely would have spent time here during his tenure as Ambassador of Canada (1930-1932).
Charlie treated me to a lovely Mother's Day dinner at Le Chateau Frontenac's exquisite dining room, Le Champlain.  Fine dining at its best.
Old City of Quebe
 Back to reality tomorrow!
