America's Cup Weatherly
Is this big enough for you?
As was forecast ....... today is gray, gloomy & rainy.
We slipped into our rain gear and slogged down America's Cup Avenue.  Great fun was had at the Black Dog Boutique ............. we miss Sammie!  After delivering our purchases to the boat we proceeded to a couple of upscale nautical shops.  Check out  www.StyleNewport.com to view the signal flag custom jewelry.  Everything was top grade and we liked how you can customize your message.
White Label at Newport Yachting Center
("Your  own initials" to "love" can be spelled out in these nautical charms ....... it was all really cool).   We have no room on the White Label for such things, but Christmas might be a possibility!

Even though it is virtually deserted, there are still some interesting things to see in the harbor.  The 1962 America's Cup defender,  Weatherly , is docked here.  We were hoping to catch a ride on one of these yachts, but the season doesn't start up until Memorial Day.
The houses are not the only thing in Newport that are on a grand scale ...... Athena, a Greek sailing yacht, recently appeared in port and is one of the biggest we have ever seen.  They don't call this The Sailing Capital of the World for nothing.
